Penny Lane Riccarton Road has relocated to Sydenham.
June 21, 2015
After a number of years trading, the Penny Lane Riccarton shop has now CLOSED and all stock is being relocated to our newly refurbished flagship store at 430 Colombo Street, Sydenham.
We would like to say a huge thanks to all of our customers who have supported the Riccarton shop since opening. While the unique trading environment in this city is challenging, we are committed to offering a superior independent record-store experience to the people of Christchurch from our Sydenham and Eastgate Mall stores.
The amalgamation of stock into our Sydenham store over the coming days will make our already huge collection the biggest we have ever had under one roof. It's a range you will simply need to see to believe !!
Please note that all customer stock orders, lay-bys etc that were previously made at our Riccarton store will now be held at Sydenham.
We hope to see you all there soon!

Check out some new releases
Check out some of the new and recent releases in store:
Lucky Stars is the third solo album by one of New Zealand's best known and highly regarded songwriters, Don McGlashan.
Coming Home is the debut full-length release for Texas gospel and soul singer Leon Bridges.
Drones is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Muse. Their latest offering is a concept album and Muse songwriter Matthew Bellamy had this to say “ To me, drones are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by drones utilising drones to turn us all into drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors”.
Skills in Pills is the debut album from Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann and Peter Taegtgren, Runaway Days is the 7th studio album from The Warratahs in an illustrious career spanning more than 25 years. It’s also their first studio album in 9 years.
Also on the shelves this week is Beneath the Skin, the second album from the five-member, English-language indie folk-pop band from Keflavík, Iceland Of Monsters and Men.
